CAD Data Exchange

Within a CAM environment, it is particularly important to guarantee a correct exchange of data. Manufacturers who import CAD data either from customers or suppliers and who have to process these are dependent on a high-capacity CAD data exchange. 
Processing features in the CAD source system can be technologically evaluated in ProfiCAM.

ProfiCAM - Basis solid

ProfiCAM possesses fully integrated CAD functionalities based on 2D and 3D data. 
A standardized geometry kernel provides high-performance functions in both Solid and  surface modeling. All´operations are stored in a tree structure (feature tree) and can be edited from there without any problem. Considerable benefits are gained in CAM programing from using specially edited CAD functions, such as parameterized creation of relief grooves, or drawing on tolerance center. If there is a need to generate standard workshop drawings, the user has access to relevant functions such as shading, dimensioning, automatic bills of material, etc. ProfiCAM supports the migration of data from a wide range of CAD systems.
