More Efficiency with a centralized Production Data Management
The increasing changes to ever more complex
production processes are resulting in constantly
growing volumes of data which need to be handled
and to be made available at the relevant
production plants. Apart from the management of data
and documents, the individual production flows need to
be mapped in a comprehensible manner and a relation to the
required data and documents must be ensured. The
FactoryDIRECTOR production data management system is the
information center for production flows. The
required information can be permanently accessed
with a mouse click and is always
available online.
The
Production
Data Management
system not only manages but also communicates
bi-directionally with systems in the existing
infrastructure. These are mainly ERP/PPS systems, CAD/CAM
systems, tool management systems and DNC
systems.
Data is exchanged interface-free between individual systems
within the
COSCOM process chain
and with outside systems via certified and
standardized interfaces. Depending on the angle, the
operator can display all relevant information within a
software interface, by entering e.g. the NC
program number, designation, or machine .
The
Production Data Management
system provides the complete information that is
relevant for process planning, production,
setting up, etc..and is, therefore, the central
information platform.
